I continue to be trapped in right-wing radio hell at work.


I can retreat into my stockroom and listen to music, which I do often, but the main floor is still a hotbed for "the other side".

But in actually listening to some of this, I am amazed by what I continue to hear.

First and foremost - this "Let's Go Brandon" thing just won't go away. It's at the point now where they think he's a real person, and yesterday there was a call-in segment called "What Would Brandon Do". (That's when I left the room.)

Boston's Mayor Wu recently upped the ante on masks and vaccinations, so of course she's been the target of much vitriol this week. Curiously though - the show host is vocally NOT an anti-vaxxer. She's said on the air that she is vaccinated and boosted, and has even gone out of her way to debunk some of the more outlandish conspiracy theories from her listeners.

I also find it interesting that in the three weeks I've had of forced listening, President Joe Biden has "been having a bad week" for all three of them. I don't know anything about that.

But why I'm writing this today - two days ago now, they were excoriating our good Mayor as well as Governor Baker about masks. The latest recommendation was to start using the better KN95 masks again. One listener was utterly incensed, and asking the host -

"Is it my responsibility to take care of everyone else again?"

I think we know the answer to that.
