There are no words that I could write this morning that could bring insight to the atrocities we are witnessing minute by minute, One thing I know, the cruelty is the point.

It's one thing to study history, it's quite another knowing full well that we are living in a time that will be studied for years, centuries even. But right now, witnessing it hurts. It's infuriating and heartbreaking. We have been taught what evil is thru history, Hitler, the KKK, rapists, serial killers.... but to watch in real-time the very thing we have always wondered, and so far seeing the same pattern happening is horrifying.

It's one thing to understand how Hitler came to power and wonder why he was not stopped. All the scholarly knowledge in the world and it seems to be happening again -- in less than a century.

All we can do on this side of the pond is pray in our own way. I will be honest, I don't know what I would do if I was a Ukrainian. And having said that, I find I am disappointed in myself.

All I want is for this evil to be defeated, punished, and gone forever.
