I am simply overwhelmed this morning. We are so close to election day and I can barely watch the news. It's so chaotic. The races are too close for those living in a reality-based world.

How in the world can a candidate like Herschel Walker be within striking distance of a Senator who is an actual man of God? Why is it ok for a snake oil salesman to be within striking distance of a Lt. Governor in the Pennsylvania Senate Race? Even here in Deep Blue Maryland, We have an alleged insurrectionist as the GOP nominee for Governor. Thankfully, Wes Moore, the Democratic Nominee is polling about 2-1 ahead of him.

It's all overwhelming this election. One thing I know, I will vote all the way down ticket and I will vote for the sane party. We speak a lot of impending fascism and the ghosts of Nazi Germany, but for the past day or so, with all the talk of RW White Christian Nationalism being in vogue, I can't help but think about images like this.



That was less than 45 years ago, much closer to the rearview mirror than the second world war. And once again - the women of that country are revolting against their leadership. Maybe they never really stopped.

Vote as if your world depends upon it because it does.
