Deliberately writing off-cycle today; July 13!


Twenty-nine years ago on this day, I was holed up in my little apartment here. We were dodging the remains of Hurricane Bertha, which made a bit of a splash up here.

We didn't get much heavy rain, but it was windy and cloudy all day. I managed to get out to the local CVS to pick up some supplies for a major vacation slated to begin on July 15.

The following day, July 14, the storm had pulled away, but the remains of tropical air hung heavily over New England. It was about 9,000% humidity, and temperatures headed towards the low 90s.

A great day to don a tuxedo and head to an un-air conditioned church to get married!

Yep - tomorrow marks 29 years of wedded bliss here in the Trisec compound.
