A lot of comedy has been made of House Rep. George Santos (
if that's his real name), and all the lies he's told. It's disgusting that Republicans will take anyone in their ranks, so long as it gives them a foothold in the power structure.
Considering that Democrats pushed Al Franken out of the Senate for a
goofy photo taken long before he took office (when he was doing the hard work of supporting our troops in the Middle East), it's galling that a man being pursued for check kiting by Brazil is protected by the Republican power structure. They even gave him a seat in two committees, knowing this.
