Tea Party Serves Rove a Steeped Cup of STFU
Author: Raine    Date: 09/16/2010 13:07:37

I have spent the better part of this morning looking to see if Karl Rove actually changed his position regarding the Delaware GOP Senate Candidate -- he hasn't. In the past 24 hours Sarah Palin told him to 'Buck Up'; Michele Malkin compared him to Keith Olberman and O'Donnell herself called him a liar.

Karl Rove. Bush's Brain, Turdblossom -- THAT Karl Rove. The man who once threatened to blacklist GOP Senators, helped to unseat Texas Governor Ann Richards by spreading lesbian rumors about her, and went on to start the McCain 'black baby' rumors. He was deeply involved in the outing of CIA official Valerie Plame. He was involved with Enron and had/has deep ties with Ralph Reed and Ken Lay.

My point? Even though he is no longer in the White House -- or involved with the Bush administration -- Karl Rove has never stopped being deeply connected to the right wing political machine in this country. He can make or break political careers. He is calculating, but far from stupid. That he is not supporting this candidate is telling. Perhaps it's the first shot across the bow as a warning to certain people to remember their place. There is still a political GOP establishment in the country -- and I suspect they don't really like being told to "buck up' from the likes of Sarah Palin and Michael Steele. They certainly don't like being told, we don't need you, GOP.
“Karl should stay out of it,” said Kremer, calling his comments against O’Donnell disgraceful.

National Republicans had said Tuesday they would stay out of the race now that Castle has been defeated. Those proclamations were being walked back by Wednesday as NRSC Chairman John Cornyn and RNC Chairman Michael Steele both said they would support O’Donnell.

Kremer said that support is great, but not necessary.

“She doesn't need their support to win. Obviously, no one thought she could win this, they were going after her with full force. I believe, she was outspent 10 to 1 and she won it. She won it by a big margin. So yeah, I think she'd like to have their support, but it's not required. She needs the support of the people to win,” said Kremer.

“You know these seats don't belong to the Republican Party or the state parties. They belong to the people. No matter how much money you can put into these races and the establishment gets behind these candidates, you can't buy the fire in the belly, that passion and that is what is enabling the people to go out and elect these true conservative candidates,” she said.
You see what is starting to happen here? Ms. Kremer is basically giving the GOP a big middle finger and a big cup of STFU. The Tea Party - which the GOP lovingly allowed to grow, danced with, played politics with - now threatens the party itself. I think that Karl Rove sees this. O'Donnell is a very weak candidate, and going after the low hanging fruit is smart; it's a warning to all the Tea Partiers that perhaps they might want to learn their place. One tiny little factoid, though: O'Donnel ran on the GOP ticket. That means she won as a Republican - labeling herself as such is yet another slap in the face to the GOP.

This is interesting to say the least, but I know one thing - I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of retaliation after telling Karl Rove to STFU. Ask Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame and all the reporters caught up in that tangled web. The Tea Party would be wise to not underestimate him.

He's a lot of things, but Karl Rove is not dumb -- and he still has a lot to say in the way things work in Washington DC.

Gotta give the Tea party respect - for giving back to Karl Rove!!

On the other hand, I wouldn't doubt that this could be a Rove tactic to keep Dems home.

Either way, it keeps me from having to watch one of the "housewives" shows to get my dirty, snarky, fights on the teevee.

This time, I really don;t think it's a tactic at all.

I really think this is Karl warning the Tea PArty to get to the back of the bus.

Sarah Palin is going to be next -- I really think this is the case, O'Donnell will be used as an example and if they don't head the warning, Sarah is next.

The baggers are so far out of control that the GOP is feeling threatened.

That's her real problem - poor girl's never had a REALLY good face-twisting toe-curling orgasm before.

And no, I'm not gonna offer to do the deed. Wouldn't want anything to freeze off.

The Republicans are finally waking up - they wanted Tea Party support, but didn't want them actually campaigning - much less winning - in the primaries. Now that they've put several establishment Republicans out to pasture, they're realizing that their dance with the devil comes with consequences.

Watch how they smear the tea party in an effort to take their party back.

For anyone attending the One Nation march in DC on 10/2 to counteract the Beck Rally.... there seems to be free bus transportation:

One Nation Buses

For those that have the time to take off and go.

seems to be before my comment. Granted, it's the upper level of the gutter, but if I'm to orchestrate gradual descent to multiple levels, one at a time (and on command), then it has to start at the first level.

This caller is actually complaining that Bernie Sanders wants to giver people free education?

Comment by Raine on 09/16/2010 14:43:27
Oh this caller, is really off the hook.

it's getting ridiculous. He's literally complaining that the POTUS has intellectual curiosity nd so therefore -- he is a marxist.

I am so tired of people being willfully stupid.

Comment by Raine on 09/16/2010 14:45:42
Wow what the hell just happened?

Comment by Raine on 09/16/2010 15:06:05
Well -- This is interesting.

Is Rove walking back his comments? (listen to what he says about his role outside of Fox)

I personally don't think he backed down from anything, but made it clear -- he works outside Fox News --- Just like he worked outside the Bush Administration.

I still think someone is going down.

Morning, folks. Late to the party today.

I was off at the local Catholic School trying to convince young boys to join the noted national homophobic, proto-military organization that will turrn them into manly men.

(I tell ya, some days I wonder why I still do this.)

Completely understood, having tied knots for some time.

It might surprise some of you to learn that I'm at least online acquaintances with a Christian minister in Lancaster, PA. I've been listening to his podcast for years, and he made an interesting point in yesterday's message. (boldface mine.)

Most of us were raised in countries where we repeatedly heard the Christian teaching, "God loves you." It's easy to take His love for granted or worse yet to just expect it. Songs like "Jesus loves me" and "Jesus loves the little children" formed our earliest impressions of God's love. I've heard many, many sermons on the love of God. I don't recall ever hearing a sermon exhorting me to hate others. Having preached or taught several thousand sermons over 35 years and writing over 3,000 of these daily encouragement messages it's certainly not a view I've espoused nor a topic that I would ever preach! It runs counter to the Biblical teaching of God's love for us and our love for others.

It's comforting to know that there are at least *some* Christians paying attention to the message.

Daily Encouragement, if anyone is interested in checking out his site. (He's a great photographer, worth it most days for the pictures alone.)

Good day everyone.

It took me forever to fall asleep so I ended up sleeping through the morning. Shannon Moore is filling in for Thom today and she's talking about the Delaware teabagger. I wonder if the lack of orgasms may have contributed to the decline in her relationship with her previous boyfriend/campaign manager..

Most Christians I know do not represent the swill I have been seeing for the past few years.

I wish more would speak a up and say they don't speak for hate.
