It's been a personally challenging week and thankfully, it's Friday on a holiday weekend!

So, in light of that, let's just have a free and easy blog.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Greetings, comrades!

Well, Mitt the Twitt is going to announce what we all knew already.

Some local pundits are already licking their chops. Don't forget, Obamacare is really Romneycare, and some on the right don't like that very much.

And an interesting local side note, Mayor Setti Warren (D-Newton), challenger to Scott Brown, was on the local "Nightside" talk program last night with Dan Rea. Mayor Warren was very scrambly and barely answered any of Dan's questions. He's got a lot of generalities, but very few specifics. He'll need to do better, but fortunately has a year to improve.

What the hell is this about?
Mitt Romney Sends Leftover Pizza to Obama Chicago HQ
fter spending the day in Chicago fundraising, Mitt Romney sat down with small business owners at Gino's East, a pizza joint famous for their deep-dish pizza.

Not wanting any of the leftover slices to go to waste, Romney sent the remaining pies to where else but President Obama's Chicago reelection headquarters.

Here is fine - keep in mind the accommodations are rather spartan. You and Mala can decide who gets the air mattress and who gets the fold out couch.

Good morning, bloggers!!

I hope that things are getting better for everyone.

As for myself, I was offline due to computer issues for a good chunk of the past week. Then, I was busy with a lot of things.

As it seems that we could use some good news, here is some. I am going to an interview at a charter school later this morning. Additionally, a friend's company gave me a screening interview and will hopefully follow up with a call for a full interview.

I will be busy with housework and other stuff today, but I will check in sometime after the interview.

In a positive note for comedians, particularly Tina Fey, Sarah Palin seems to be considering a presidential run. However, there are no reports that power companies plan to hook up power lines to Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Dwight Eisenhower to generate power as the former presidents spin in their graves.

Collective Bargaining in the Commonwealth....

Surprisingly, it's not generating a lot of talk around these parts.

It was part of Gov. Patrick's budget proposal, along with switching a lot of the public service unions to GHI instead of private plans. (Group Health Insurance via Unicare, which is the plan for state employees.) What the limitation is, is that they won't be able to choose to go private anymore; they're being forced into the state plan.

But it's expected to save something insane like $4b over the next few years. I don't know where the unions stand; Brother Trisec, who is usually on top of these things, has been rather quiet of late on this front. I actually think it's a non-starter...the D-dominated state house is poised to approve it, and since it's the governor's idea, he'll sign it. There's been no comment from the state GOP.

I'm down for whatever as well... and I MUST remember to bring a nasal strip or else the snoring will be out of control. (The new bed's helped a lot with that, no idea what'll happen when the routine changes!)

I think we're getting kicked out of work early today (along with most everyone else)

I'll be staring glassy-eyed at the TeeVee tonite hoping the local hockey entry can become the Bruins again (instead of the bRuins)

Hmm, that's a 7:05 start tonight after all in Detroit. With Wakefield pitching!

(I always watch Mr. Wakefield....he's just 3 days older than me, so I continue to live baseball vicariously through him.)

You will come to Boston for the next meetup.

Move along.

“It shows you that this is what it takes to kill a program at the Pentagon,’’ said Laura Peterson, a senior policy analyst for the watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense. “It’s kind of ridiculous that there is such an intense battle being waged over something that the Department of Defense says it doesn’t want.’’
This is part of a HUGE problem I have had since the 12th of eternity.

We outsourced this shite to states... Spread the jobs around, people reliy on those jobs and now we cannot get out of the quagmire. I am pretty Sure Raygun was someone who helped this happen just becuase he was the one who decided to spread the *wealth* to other states.

I was just trying to figure that part out.. if I leave after work that Friday the earliest I can get there is 3:25AM Saturday (wtf!), or I can wake up mad early on Saturday and be there by 3PM.

BTW, Megabus' website is a pain in the ass (something I've recently become an authority on!)
