Last night, newly ensconced Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan sat down for his first solo interview with Fox News' Brit Hume and let slip an admission about Mitt Romney's budget plan -- an admission that's receiving surprisingly little press attention. Asked by Hume when the Romney plan would balance the budget, Ryan said he didn't know because "we haven't run the numbers on that specific plan."
First, Mitt Romney has been going around telling everyone that, if elected, he intends to balance the federal budget by the end of his second term, or shortly thereafter. Ryan says that they don't know when Romney's plan will balance the budget. If Ryan is right, then what is Romney basing that claim on?

and not creepy in a good way, he reminds me of a frat boy who stalked his girlfriend in a Lifetime movie of the week

Aubert also says Romney's a victim of irony ... because "he is inadvertently playing a song that describes his whole campaign."

Time is never worth my time
Blue shine bleeds into my eyes
I still sleep on the right side
But white noise can't leave the scene behind
Could I be anything you want me to be
If so is it meant to be seen
When you see yourself in a crowded room
Do your fingers itch are you pistol whipped
Will you step in line or release the glitch
Can you fall asleep with a panic switch
When you see yourself in a crowded room
Do your fingers itch are you pistol whipped
Will you step in line or release the glitch
Do you think she'll sleep with a panic...
I'll try to hold on tight tonight
Pink slip inviting me inside
Want to burn skin and brand what once was mine
But the red views keep ripping the divide
If I go everywhere you want me to go
How will I know you'll still follow
When you see yourself in a crowded room
Do your fingers itch are you pistol whipped
Will you step in line or release the glitch
Can you fall asleep with a panic switch
When you see yourself in a crowded room
Do your fingers itch are you pistol whipped
Will you step in line or release the glitch
Do you think she'll sleep with a panic...
Movements are made slow motion in frame
I'm waiting and fading and floating away
The curtains are torn and the setting decayed
I'm waiting and fading and floating...
I'm waiting and fading and floating away
I'm waiting and fading and floating away
I'm waiting and fading and floating away
Waiting and fading
Waiting and fading
When you see yourself in a crowded room

That guy? There are four of them in the band, a dead one and couple of guys they kicked out.

I'm finally listening to the East Coast Conservative podcast from this past weekend. (I was watching Closing Ceremonies).
Not surprisingly, they're loving VP Ryan. A couple of them are thinking this has changed the tone of the election to more economic issues. ("now there's a clear choice, blah blah blah.)
I still think Romney just lost.
And it's probably time to start checking this every day again.

we harvested out potatoes about 2 weeks ago from the potato tower. It totally worked (though I think I may have left some in too long). Had some for dinner last night, they were so much better then the ones from the grocery store.

I've pulled in an eggplant and some tomatoes recently. I didn't grow zucchini, so I'll have to buy one, but I think there is ratatouille in my future.

Sheesh, and now they're on that old saw about how a President needs executive experience, and should understand how the office works, and etc. and so on.
I got two words for ya....Herbert Hoover.
Most of our better Presidents have had minimal experience at governing anything. Maybe it's that "new ideas" thing, instead of somebody fully entrenched in DC culture.

I would have had tomatoes if someone hadn't stolen all mine - thank goodness a few more are starting to grow. Did notice my pepper plants didn't get very big this year - not that I'm too worried about it since I really don't eat peppers
Want to try zucchini but too worried about squash bugs
But I did go back and look at my taxes and over the past 10 years I never paid less than 13 percent. I think the most recent year is 13.6 or something like that. So I paid taxes every single year. Harry Reid’s charge is totally false. I’m sure waiting for Harry to put up who it was that told him what he says they told him. I don’t believe it for a minute, by the way. But every year I’ve paid at least 13 percent and if you add in addition the amount that goes to charity, why the number gets well above 20 percent.

Mike Newcomb is in for Thom Hartmann again, so I will listen to Nicole Sandler. Hopefully, both Ed Schultz and Thom will be well soon.

Mondo, I think that it may be way too late for a Bill and Ted sequel. Time has passed and I am not sure that the movie would work.
