SUNNY GATE!
Author: Raine    Date: 12/05/2013 14:06:35

She's a beast I tell you, a beast.
The 1-year-old puppy tried to escape her handler, knocking down 2-year-old Ashtyn Gardner in the process.

The little girl got up quickly, and her dad, John, said she was fine.

Michelle Obama was present and helped Ashytn to her feet. The first lady later checked on the little girl again and gave her a hug.

Obama was unveiling the 2013 holiday decorations and had invited military families and their children to see them.

John Gardner, a member of the Navy from Mobile, Ala., was there with his wife and three kids.

The children were decorating ornaments, making Rudolf reindeers out of lunch bags and fashioning paper poinsettias when the incident occurred.

Both dogs stayed in the room and there were no further accidents.
Here is the picture going around:

SCANDAL!

2-year-old Ashtyn Gardner was knocked down by Obama’s dog during a White House propaganda session. Obama’s dogs are cute. But apparently they are being trained to attack little white kids. One of the dogs knocked over a toddle today during a Michelle Obama propaganda session. I guess this is why Obama demands to control White House photo sessions.

Video of what happened...

It's clearly time to impeach the President for sicking his dog on toddlers.

The dog didn't knock her over either, she tripped on the boys walker. I swear the media today just makes me want to throw my hands up.

What the hell? iTunes has gotten rid of their open list of streaming radio stations in favor of this 'iTunes Radio' bullshit.

Did you upgrade iTunes? I lost all my streams when I downloaded this version to my computer. I can still get Chicago talk and Wtop but it seems like everything moved over to iheart.

It sucks.

What did you expect, Scoop? To have Apple's developers to leave well enough alone? No, they are going to fuck up iTunes even more.

Comment by Scoopster on 12/05/2013 14:57:31
Oh wait I got it back! They just 'hid' the list in favor of this new Pandora-style radio thing.. (Go into Preferences under the General tab and re-check Internet Radio)

Oh that's more awesome news!

I really wish that MARC and Septa connected in delaware the way SEPTA connects with NJT does (in Trenton if I recall correctly) We could take the train all the way up to NY. it would take a more time, being regional but it would be much more fun to travel.

I think it may explain the dissonance between say, my mom's generation and my niece's, and how we may misunderstand each other sometimes.

Trust me I understand - my mom does not get the snark of Gen X, she thinks I'm being mean to her when all I'm doing is joking around.

But I do get pissed we seem to be a lost generation since all anyone talks about are the boomer or the millennials and all the pressure is being put on us - the smaller of the 3 gens.

You care for your mom, like many GenXrs.

I keep hearing about how millennial's can't get jobs because of the economy and I find i interesting that G-X people have seen much of their savings lost (the recession etc.). These are the same people trying to care for their parents and make sure their children get a decent education with the hopes of finding a career of their choice.

Make no mistake, my words are deliberate.

I'm not trying to feed into class/generational warfare here. Truth be told, the upper class doesn't have to worry about generational separation, IMO.

The middle and lower class does.

I can see that.

Oh mom's got her own job (in the same company I'm at) and can't retire because we won't survive on my salary and just her SS. There's just no way, which is sad.

You're right the truly upper classes don't have to worry about it - their parents are retiring their kids don't have to worry too much about work.

There is class warfare going on just people are too busy fighting over towels at walmart to see it and those who do are too scared of losing their jobs to try to do anything about it.

Good day, folks. As one of the downwardly mobile Gen-Xers I definitely feel the class warfare that the top 1% and the GOP has been raising on us the last 30 years. Then again, my late parents were actually pre-baby boomers and grew up during the depression so they had experiences.

I'm not a parent. My mom encouraged the hell out of me to go to a regular school.

I went to art school to her partial dismay. It wasn't practical in many normal respects. Truth is, I think I learned more there than I could have at a regular school.

I see my sister encouraging her daughter to get a degree that she can use or -- and this is a big OR -- make damn sure she loves what what she wants a career in.

Sister doesn't have the money a lot of people have to send the daughter to school. She's not out there just encouraging her to simply get an education, she asking her to be smart enough to make a good investment. a good investment will allow her to keep doors open for the future. That comes from not growing up with parents that had enough money to make sure thier kids never had to worry.

My parents are boomers, but things like divorce, etc sorta messed up that booomer ideal. My grandparents were immigrants --- they aren't even included in the *greatest generation* because of that.

As I said -- it's fascinating.
