The 5 Days of Impeachment
Author: Raine    Date: 12/17/2007 13:42:20

Good Monday morning.

Stayed up late last night doing the Christmas stuff. Actually, the entire weekend was filled with Christmas stuff, so instead of getting all in a tizzy about the administration, I was in a tizzy about Christmas. *sigh..*

What kept me going? The thought that unlike this administration the holidays would be over in a week. Oh, the other thing that kept me going was singing the Merry F*cking Christmas Song from South park (audio not work safe).. and listening to Steve Martin's Christmas wish song.

Which got me to thinking again, as I often do about impeachment.
So in the spirit of Christmas, and all the wishes that come with the season, I wrote this song...

Reason One for impeachment, my true love gave to he...
Was for spying on our country...

Reason Two for impeachment, my true love gave to he...
Was waterbording the detainees...

Reason Three for impeachment, my true love gave to he...
Lying about WMD's...

Reason Four for impeachment, my true love gave to he...
for reading my pet goat...

Reason Five for impeachment, my true love gave to he...
Dick Che-EY-ney!...

..... Ok I am not going to go any farther with this... It just dawned on me how much I despise the 12 days of Christmas song...

In some Sad news Dan Fogleberg has left us. For those that love cheezy love songs, (like me) Dan was the king. I still have a hard time listening to "longer" without getting all misty. RIP, Mr. Fogelberg.

Welcome to Monday friends. Let's gather inside, have some and take a deep breath, because every day that passes is one day closer to January 2009.

:peace: and
Raine

FIRST!!

Good morning, bloggers!!

I am saddened to hear about Dan Fogelberg. His song "The Leader of the Band" was a loving tribute to his father.

As usual when I am at home waiting for Stephanie Miller to come on the air, I am working on the UNN Daily Headlines. In the good news, the woman who was raped in Saudi Arabia and sentenced to 200 lashes (for associating with a man who was not a family member) has reportedly been pardoned. Mind you, I think this case illustrates a concern of James Madison: that when government and religion are combined, both suffer.

Good morning Will. I read that story, and I thought the same thing. It's just another canary in the coal mine, isn't it?

The more I learn, the more the House of Saud reminds me of another royal family - the Romanovs. Like the Romanovs, the House of Saud seems at times oblivious to the needs of their citizens, spend lavishly, and rely on an appeal to tradition to hold up their authority.

History shows that those who oppress moderate and liberal reformers often foster support for more radical elements. See the case of Egypt, where Mubarak's repression has led to the growth of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose first platform released earlier this year calls for the installation of Sharia law. (This is likely a source of great distress to Coptic Christians, liberal Muslims, and secularists in Egypt.)

Fascism and communism are very different philosophies.

Also, C-Span did not censor Michael Savage. Savage, instead of showing up for an awards ceremony, sent in a tape to C-Span which covered the event.

Also, can some of Momma's critics please learn to spell? President Bush and his administration are already torturing the English language - and a few other things besides.

Republicans candidates hate puppies... I think this is now well documented.

Good morning everyone.

So, the Savage Weiner fans are as insane as he is. Not to mention, people who don't know how to write. Just hope you don't live near anyone of them (especially if they are members of the NRA or some other gun club ).

Dan Fogelberg died? Oh dear. . . that's kind of sad. Was he old?

I always loved his "For Aud Lang Syne" song.

On another note, people REALLY need to learn what words like Fascism means, before they use them.

Good morning.

If there is indeed a Hell, perhaps the Savage Weiner's punishment will be to be put naked into a hot dog bun, covered with mustard, relish, ketchup, onions, and jalapeno peppers while a demonic version of King Kong gets ready for lunch -- and Allen Ginsberg is rooting for King Kong. (Sorry, Michael, no skinny dipping with Allen -- you get to have Larry Craig and Denny Hastert in the burning river of lava.)

Before I went to bed, I saw CNN re-running "God's Christian Warriors" and it was showing how wacko the thoughts of most of the religious right (like Huckabee) are.

Passing through....

Camping was a success, see last night's blog for updates 'n stuff. (And I read certain comments about Libertarian Saturday from certain other persons who post here frequently. Circle the wagons and all the guns point in, eh?

I'm puttering around the house today...Javi is sick along with Mrs. TriSec, so I've got a supermarket run and a Blogger Joe run to do today.

I have no desire to inspect Hillary Clinton like cattle. Mind you, this is a better prospect than inspecting Denny Hastert like cattle. (In deep fat, no one can hear you scream.)

For those of you who have not seen it. . . So, So, So, So good!

That NH guy, I must say this... Hillary should have FIRED him, instead of this *step down* comment. No one ever got fired in this administration and I fear that with Hillary we are going to see more of the same... Stepping down instead or spending time with family. The man should have been *RELEASED FROM HIS CAMPAIGN DUTIES*

Morning all. Taking a short break from job hunting. Don't know if anyone posted this, but an interesting little tidbit about Mike Suckabee's son came up. He tortured and killed a stray dog while at boy scout camp and his good ol' Daddy, the Gov, got him off with nary a slap on the wrist. Serial killer in the making? Oh, and a mother fucker that should NOT cross my path!!!!
