Well, who should we endorse, and do we want to pick from both sides of the aisle like a good non-partisan website should?

Dems: Richardson : girds for strong responses :

Repubs: erm? Do any of them have any redeeming qualities? I'll have to admit that single policies of one or two of them may make some small bit of sense, but I find the candidates generally unpalatable...

Morning!

Velveeta will bypass the celebrity endorement IQ test. She doesn't do well on testing.

I like Kucinich a lot, but more and more I also find common ground with Edwards and Dodd. I really really have my fingers crossed for Edwards to take Iowa - by a huge margin! Wet Dream!!

They are saying that this building is being refurbed, and that a lot of artifacts and art peices were also stored there. :(

The office building is right across the street from the West Wing of the White house.

Breaking: It appears Dickie-poo got bored of the shredder. Fire is soooo much faster. And explainable.

Comment by Raine on 12/19/2007 14:53:58
The building also houses Lawyers for the WHITE HOUSE COUNCIL the reporter is now saying.

Comment by Will in Chicago on 12/19/2007 14:55:56
Good morning, bloggers!

The fire at the White House office building may merely have been a mistake after Dick Cheney was punishing an aide for a perceived discretion -- to the tune of "Chestnuts Roasting Over an Open Fire."

Quote by wickedpam: What a shame that's an old building I believe.
IT is a beautiful building. the fire seems to be contained to a second floor electrical clost... the workers have been evacuated... this is all the main support staff offices that are being affected. So, you know what :DRAMA STING: I think BobR may be right!!!

according to what the reporters on the scene said, those "other Agencies" include the Laywers for the WH council.

The problem with this administration is that its secrecy and duplicity lends credence to any possibility of a conspiracy behind any events. This may be an innocent electrical firel, but no one should take anything said or done by this administration at face value.

Good morning everyone.

Good to see that people recognize Edwards. Even though on ideological grounds, Kucinich is my choice. Edwards is the only top tier candidate who is acting like a true Democrat. And kudos to Dodd for stopping the FISA bill. I was going to vote for Kucinich in the primary, but I may seriously switch to Edwards if he is in contention to make sure that Hillary doesn't get it (although she will probably take NY state).

From CNN: A spokesman for the D.C.Fire Department said the fire started in an electrical closet or telephone bank area on the third floor.

That building is over 100 years old and it's been upgraded since 9/11. According to NOvaM - the fire fighters had problems breaking out bomb-proof windows to get air inside so it was a difficult fire to knock down.

CNN also has the detail that the building architecture is that of French Second Empire and that it originally was built for the State, War and Navy Departments

I love odd tidbits like this
