FourFreedomsBlog announces the release of another software update to version 3.1!!
You probably aren't noticing any big changes - not like the release of 3.0... These changes are more of the bug fix / enhancement variety. For a list of bugs that we knew about when we released 3.0, look (see list
here. The "ordered/unordered list" problem was actually resolved via a hot-fix to 3.0. So was a problem we noticed where carriage-return/line-feeds were removed when quoting comments.
Bug Fixes with this release:- Dates now update correctly when refreshing comments list
- Comment count now refreshes correctly when refreshing comments list
- Problems with keyword search have been addressed (Note: Keywords table was flushed to address a problem and is currently rebuilding...)
- Fixed the sort options for blog list (creation date -vs- update date)
New Features Added:- Add Comment now adds comment and refreshes comments list without refreshing entire page
- Delete Comment now provides a popup and then refreshes the comment list
- Refresh comments link is now available even when there are no comments
- When the comments are refreshing, the cursor changes to the hourglass (or pizza wheel, or whatever you have) so you know something is going on
- When writing a blog, it's automatically cached every 5 seconds, so if your browser blows up, you can click on "Restore From Cache" to get it back.
- When saving blog entries or comments, you're warned if you have mismatched tags
- Added WYSIWYG editor option for blog creation
What does the WYSIWYG editor do for you?
It allows you to have
BIG TEXT or
multi-
colored text or
different fonts
It's not as simple to work with but it adds a lot of possibilities!
