Herman Cain: Hell No, You Will Not Get The African American Vote
Author: Kimberly    Date: 2011-10-07 07:00:00

Hello everyone,

I'm Kimberly, Bob and Raine have requested that I leave you a few of my thoughts and opinions in their absence. First, I'd like to thank Bob and Raine and the FourFreedomsBlog community for allowing me to join in with you to share my thoughts on some the political and social issues that impact our country and our lives. I've heard great things about the people that make up this forum and knowing what great people you are makes this opportunity much easier. I hope you'll find something within my post that strikes you as interesting and enlightening.

When Bob and Raine asked me to write something for posting on their forum, it was a direct “NO”. Then I spoke to Raine and I mean - how could I resist? I thought about how much I post on FB and how much I had to say and I thought “Yeah, I can do this!!!!! I can write about this, no, I'll write about that.” This went on all week and today I thought “Oh, ish...I've got to settle on a topic.” I finally did while my heart did palpitations and my “pressha” (as my mother used to call it) rose while I was watching Herman Cain say African-Americans were “brainwashed”. According to the Godfather's Pizza CEO, “African-Americans have been brainwashed into not being open minded, not even considering a conservative point of view”. However, before I could swallow my “pressha” pill the Herminator was at it again, but this time he was attacking the Occupy Wall Street protesters and made the outlandish statement as reported by NewsOne: Cain went on to blame the unemployed for their woes, saying, “if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself!”:
CAIN: I don’t have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration. Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself! [...] It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded, it is someone’s fault if they failed.

My thoughts regarding Cain's idiotic statement was that he's a “Man Lost”. I was taken aback regarding Cain's “brainwashed” statement. First I thought - well why is it a problem now at this particular time that blacks voted overwhelmingly for the Democratic ticket? Is it being “brainwashed” or is it party allegiance?... Or is it staying where we have a fighting chance? Maybe if it is something wrong with the brains of African-Americans? It might be because of all the licks upside the head givien by the Republican Party. Instead of making policies that would benefit the African-American community, Republicans have been telling black people to pull those boot straps up - but the boots are too little and the straps keep snapping back.

To start with I'd like to say that Black people may be a lot of things, but stupid they are not. Unlike many Tea Party members African-Americans do not vote in large numbers against our own interest. The Democratic Party may not have all the solutions to every problem within the Black community, but the Republicans have none and they make it their business not to. Does Herman Cain believe that African Americans should vote for Michelle Bachmann who signed a pledge stating that African-Americans were better off during slavery as a family unit...Seriously????? No, we will not be voting for Michelle Bachmann. Does Herman Cain think that African-Americans should vote for Rick Perry, who had fun and frollies at his family ranch named “Nigger Head Ranch” and who relishes in executing African-American men - innocent or guilty?...who smiles when his base cheers? ohhh hell nawww, African-Americans will NOT be voting for Rick Perry. Does Herman Cain think African-Americans should vote for Willard (Mitt) Romney, who could think of nothing to say to black children but 'Who let the dogs out...ruff ruff.'? Ohhhh noooo, we will not be voting for Mitt Romney. Maybe, just maybe Herman Cain thinks that black people will become unbrainwashed and vote for him.

Herman Cain is the type of African-American who ignores the racism around him to maintain his status within the Republican Party. 'Flava of the month' Cain, chooses to ignore generations of racial injustice to advance the attitude that success just depends on you. If you're poor or out of work it's your own damn fault. Cain who has made millions off paying pizza workers minimum wage with little to no employee insurance benefits says this so easily like he got where he is all on his own accord, and not while standing on the backs of generations of Po Fokes. Even as Republicans are suppressing the votes of African-Americans and other minority populations, Cain speaks as if he is oblivious to such issues. Like the “Nigger Head Ranch” rock...having said ”He said he painted over it - case closed”...So thanks but no thanks to the GOP candidate(s) who names their hunting places Nigger Head Ranch, boos gay soldiers who are actively serving, cheers at the thought of people being executed by the government but doesn't want people to have healthcare from the government, cheers at the thought of people dying because of the lack of health insurance...Yeah, those other guys are soooo much better than Democrats and especially black ones who must be brainwashed while your Tea Party is not???? (Sarcasm off).

You defend the party that has held black people up like some type of boogyman for decades. The Welfare Queen that drives a Cadillac payed for with food stamps of course, the Willie Horton ad, the wild lies and demonizing of ACORN. The "Black Community" is not brain-washed into voting for Democrats, they vote in their best interest, since Republicans do absolutely nothing for this community, minorities in general, and the middle-class at large!!! Herman Cain seems to be the one that must be brainwashed. Considering the positions the Republican party takes on social issues and the economy, it seems that poor whites (and black and Latinos, etc) who vote Republican are the real brainwashed for consistently voting against their own economic well-being.

As I'm writing this piece all nervous about what to say here's Herman Cain peering through my television on the Lawrence O'Donnell Show; he states in his book that to avoid trouble he just moved to the back of the bus when told to. Herman Cain...no, no nooooo, hell to da nawww no. African-Americans will not be voting for you nor your 9's. African-Americans would never vote for a President that publicly stated that he moved to the back of the bus when asked to just to save his own ass and avoid “trouble”. You backed off using the term “insensitive” to describe Rick Perry's family wangdangs at their racist ranch but you continue to insult African-Americans with pride to win the votes of your parties racist base. You couldn't even call out Hank Willliams Jr. on his antics calling President Obama "Hitler" with the excuse that he didn't say the President's name.

BRAINWASHED?!?!? No, we are not brainwashed. Republican elected officials consistently legislate against minorities....CONSISTENTLY.
They were against the Civil Rights act
They were against the Dream Act
They were against equal pay for women
They were against the abolition of Don't Ask Don't Tell
African Americans WERE NOT AND ARE NOT BRAINWASHED.
We simply see, hear and feel the effects of Republican legislation.

YOU, Herman Cain, have been brainwashed into believing that the GOP accept you as an equal.
You are a token. You are a pawn. You are a tool. You are a cover for the racist agenda for the Republican party. You go ahead and roam in the wilderness Herman Cain with all your 9's in hand. African Americans, Whites, Latinos, men, women, the poor and the middle class and some of the rich will stay behind with the Democrats and our President, Barack Obama.
