Drowning inside the bubble

On day 2 post-debate, I admit I'm still feeling pretty well. I also want those Tiffany transistor radio earrings and a side of Shaedenfruede, The right is complaining that the Moderators fact-checked TSF unfairly which is kinda hilarious because I personally don't feel like they did enough. Then, I must remind myself that it was a debate, not a trial

A Debate for the Ages
Author: BobR    Date: 09/11/2024 13:36:42

Sorry for the late blog - we watched the debate, and then the MSNBC analysis, and then Colbert (because he was live), and... well... it was a late night.

But wow - what a debate! Kamala Harris was outstanding, clearly laying out her plans and details. She gave tRumpy looks that would whither a flower. He kept trying to bait her, and she never bit. On the other hand, he was all over the place. He never provided any details to any of his "plans". He looked angry and like the dog that got caught getting into the trash, but trying to pretend he didn't. She baited him constantly, and he couldn't help himself - he jumped on it again and again and again.

Red and Blue and Purple All Over

As most of you know, we were on vacation last week. We went down to sunny Florida, near Clearwater Beach, and spent a couple days on that barrier island. It was a much needed respite after a busy August of work.

We didn't actually stay in Clearwater; we stayed in a small town a few miles to the north named "Dunedin". It's lovely, has 8 breweries plus a distillery, a gay bar with drag karaoke, and one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten in. In other words, it does NOT come off as tRumpWorld.
