Yes, Jacksonville. I was going to bitch about him being in town yesterday, but world events overshawdowed that.

It's hard to do when you are dealing with pseudonyms.

I have to say that there are colorful cast of rogues behind this flick. People pleading no contest to bank fraud, crazy ass pastors with prior histories of provocation and the list of weirdos keeps growing. If people hadn't died, this would be highly entertaining.

Good morning, bloggers!!

I am listening to Nicole Sandler interview Greg Palast on voter supression.

In the chat room there, I brought up what was found out about the movie and was mocked by a couple of regulars who said of course the Israelis would deny "Sam Bacile" existed and whether I believed the Mossad existed. (Yes, they do, and intelligence agencies do mean stuff.) Of course, we had one regular claim that the whole events was probably a false flag operation by the Mossad.

More evidence that the Left has its own share of paranoid people.

"To those who pit Americans against immigrants, and citizens against non-citizens; to those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is this: Your tactics only aid terrorists, for they erode our national unity and diminish our resolve. They give ammunition to America's enemies, and pause to America's friends. They encourage people of good will to remain silent in the face of evil."

A Bush-Era diplomat comments on Mitt Romney

YESTERDAY’S TRAGIC murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other American diplomats in Libya illustrates the ever-present dangers for Americans in the volatile Middle East. Thousands of US diplomats like Stevens are on point for us all over the world, and they make an enormous contribution to our national security. But this tragedy also points to the need for capable, experienced, and wise people at the top of our government when crises test the mettle of our leaders. President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton both made strong and determined statements in response to the attack on our diplomats, focusing on our unequivocal opposition to terrorism and fanatacism in the Middle East.

In contrast, GOP candidate Mitt Romney accused the administration of showing sympathy to terrorists and apologizing for their actions. By making these completely inaccurate charges, Romney injected the politics of the presidential race into a complex drama half a world away on a day when all Americans should have been rallying around our government and its diplomats in the Middle East.

Crises often reveal the true nature and also the limitations of our leaders. Romney’s statements, made with incomplete understanding of the facts on the ground, represent the worst of our sound-bite-driven politics. He should have issued a strong statement of support for our diplomats in the fight against terrorism and refrained from commenting on what he could not understand sitting outside the government as our two diplomatic outposts were being attacked. Instead, he made an already bad situation even worse. In fact, his statements were so reckless and irresponsible that it prompts the inevitable question: What kind of commander-in-chief would he be?

The Huffington Post reports that Ben Bernanke and the Fed are stepping up to stimulate the economy. As Congress is deadlocked and filibustered, someone must step up. The question is, will this impact the elections?

Fed Announces Aggressive New Stimulus To Combat Unemployment

The Huffington Post | By Mark Gongloff Posted: 09/13/2012 12:41 pm Updated: 09/13/2012 1:55 pm

The Fed just hit the economy with a double-barreled blast of stimulus.

The Federal Reserve on Thursday announced a new round of bond buying, with the new wrinkle of basically leaving the program open-ended. It also stretched out its promise to keep short-term interest rates near zero by a year, "at least through mid-2015."

The moves will be controversial, particularly coming less than two months ahead of a heated presidential election. The Fed is already being accused of risking runaway inflation with its previous stimulus programs. And now it will likely come under fire for trying to boost the economy, which could benefit President Obama's re-election chances.

But the Fed apparently felt it had no choice but to act in response to stubbornly high unemployment, sluggish economic growth and the risk of a fiscal-cliff recession at the turn of the year.

Pap seems to think that Shelton may have his hands in this mess too since he probably shares Netanhyu's views on foreign policy including launching an attack on Iran. But, he seems to be covering his tracks on this one.

I don't think so.

I think that this was a way to try to draw Israel into this. This has Egyptians Coptic Morris Sadek written ALL over it. I hate to say it, but I think that Pap is barking up the wrong tree.

That's why when this story first broke and everyone was told it was a an Israeli national in California was so important to be debunked. and it was.

I suspect that this is a bunch of not ready for prime time players, rather than big dogs like Adelson, the Mossad or the CIA. Anyone with that level of resources could do a lot more, assuming tht they want to.

It's a ploy to capitalize on anti-semitism.

It's not CIA -- It's people who want to hurt the CIA in my opinion -- as I said yesterday, think Valerie Plame.

Sadly, there are always people who want to capitalize on hate. If the film's producer can direct attention away from himself and get people to hate each other, he probably considers it a good day.

Something is rotten here. If a big player in the game of politics is involved, that person needs to be exposed. (I am not sure if any charges can be brought.)

If Karl Rove is somehow involved in this, he has made an enemy of the diplomatic corps. (Let's say that Rove's worst nightmare may be someone impacted by the outing of Valerie Plame and an ENTIRE brass plate firm might pay him a visit.)
