This matters. It matters in ways that I, as a straight women can only try to understand.

Read Bill's story. HE one of millions who have a story, and a debt that should never have been placed upon them.

Bill O is for the gays getting married!

Let's fact check his claim about always supporting civil unions though. I smell shananigans

back before I found the wonderful land of progressive internet radio he was on WJFK (before they blew themselves up and before Don quit radio) and I do remember him saying back then that he was pro civil union for anyone who lived together including parents and adult children cause he saw it simply as a contract.

Tri, know your audience! We are not aviation and disaster geeks like you. Speak in non-geekese!

Am I saying Shiny! It's Capt. Tightpants' birthday? No, I will point out that it is Nathan Filion's birthday today. He played Mal Reynolds in "Firefly."

Good morning, bloggers.

In reflecting on the arguments at the Supreme Court, I have to wonder at some of the statements. Scalia is making, such as about fertility and Strom Thurmond.. It seems that there is little in the way of logical argument that the forces opposing marriage equality have left.

As Raine noted last night, Mrs. TriSec and I were unable to produce children "in the normal fashion". So, according to our religious extremist friends, our marriage is Illegitimate.

I guess when the GOP can't win on the issues, they have to change the rules. As I recall, a kid doing so in grade school would be scolded by his or her teacher and shunned by classmates.

Thanks.

The other thing about this *controversy* is that it is a RWNJ created one. here is where it appears to have begun. From the authors bio:
Mom of seven sillies, homeschooling guru, and political junkie, Amy has perfected the art of multi-tasking. In any given day she can be found administering first grade spelling tests, passing on the virtues of hard work and ingenuity to her children, or writing for some of the nation’s premier conservative organizations like The Heritage Foundation and The Media Research Center.

Raised in the true blue state of Pennsylvania -- home of the bitter clingers -- Amy and her family broke free in 2011 and relocated to the Lone Star State where her husband has helped launch an outreach organization that is revolutionizing the prolife movement.

Amy’s passions in life include speaking out for the unborn and standing up to an over-reaching government threatening the fiber of our freedom. Through the gift of words sprinkled with a little humor and sarcasm, Amy hopes to recruit more soldiers to the conservative cause. As long as the government continues to infringe on our freedoms and children are murdered in the womb, Amy will continue writing for the sake of liberty. After all, the pen is mightier than the sword, and writing is cheaper than therapy.

And here a HuffPo article.
But is Victoria's Secret really coming for your 12-year-old? Click over to VictoriasSecret.com and you'll find no sign of a separate Bright Young Things collection. It appears that Bright Young Things is a new Spring Break-themed tagline for PINK, Victoria's Secret's more youthful counterpart.

The lingerie brand founded PINK, its younger spin-off, in 2002 with the explicit aim of targeting 15-to-22 year olds. The brightly colored sweats, bras, tank tops and undies have proven immensely popular among the high school set, but often for even younger girls in middle school too.

But there is no plan to target middle schoolers explicitly, as Bright Young Things is not a new collection as reported. A PINK spokesperson told us:

In response to questions we recently received, Victoria’s Secret PINK is a brand for college-aged women. Despite recent rumors, we have no plans to introduce a collection for younger women. "Bright Young Things" was a slogan used in conjunction with the college spring break tradition.

It is a PARENTAL responsibility to not buy these clothes for their children. I can't get upset at VS about this. 15-16 years olds are entering a period of life where they want to feel pretty --- and even sexy --
