Does anyone listen out of WCPT (Chicago) ?

Yesterday the FSTV stream was funky so I fired up their stream.

and then I heard the most disturbing commercial... It involved Trump, Clinton and Sanders sounda likes and ....

I heard it a couple times. Sanders is telling Clinton she should use one.

I don't understand how as a society we willfully throw up out hands and say oh well can't do anything about it, might as well accept it.

Police have said that the suspect in yesterday's shooting was a member of the federal protective service and is considered armed and dangerous.

here's the story on him. I can understand why some might think these shooting could be connected.

The feds are assisting local police as of now. They are concerned that the shooter is the beltville shooter.

That guy still has his body armour.

jfc... Following up to yesterday - I dropped the letter in the landlord's box with my rent last night - stern but respectfully worded, complete with citations of general statues. Today I got a call back while i was in the monthly meeting.

Didn't even mention the broken front door to the building. He wanted to tell me to make the rent checks out directly to his name instead of his LLC for now on, because "the bank's bothering me to pay them and I wanna do that on my own schedule".

So I called back. He started talking about repairs from the incident before that (someone had a fire in their unit). I had to steer him back on course, and when he finally got there all he would say is 'oh don't worry it'll get fixed it's on the list'.

It's been three damn weeks. The entire building is wide open for someone to just reach through the broken door and open it. Yeah, I lock up my apartment tight when I go out AND when I'm home now, but that means nothing when I actually open the door.

Well I was already in the planning stages of a move (the GF wants to move to RI and get an apartment together, and my place is too small). I was gonna ask him if there was something in another building that was in a better area, but I'm not even gonna go there now. And I'm kinda frustrated cuz I'm at the point where I'm thinking I need to bail out NOW but I'd hafta ask Mom for money to pay for most of it. It's not that she wouldn't help out or anything, I just really hate begging anyone for money.
