Last night was the lighting of the National Christmas Tree.

So many of us are going to miss our wonderful First Family. They have been the very best of us with their kindness, caring, and strength.

I can't really imagine what next year is going to look like. Will Melania (sp) be reading T'was the Night Before Christmas? Or will it be Ivanka, who I have a feeling is going to be Trashhole's true first lady. Are we going to have flag waving country singers and washed up Vegas/Atlantic City acts? Will Trashhole stand there and brag that he only gets the best and biggest trees and all the past trees have been failures?

2016 has been the year of mostly suck, but I want to hold onto it if it means keeping President Obama and his family.

Mornin' all...

Asked by Mr. Tapper whether Mr. Trump’s recent posting of misinformation on Twitter about millions of undocumented immigrants voting was presidential, Ms. Conway defended the message.

“He’s the president-elect, so that’s presidential behavior,” she said.

HOLY FUCKING NIXON'S HEAD ON A STICK

It's funny that the only halfway decent pick, and the one that could possibly hold this administrations military ambitions in check, is getting resistance because of the legacy of concern about him being too close to the military.

Hello, bloggers!

I have some sad news.

Some of you may know DearPru, who posted on the Randi Rhodes Message Boards, the Thom Hartmann chat and several other progressive sites. DearPru, whose first name was Cherie, passed away last night after being in hospice for a few days after being hospitalized for pneumonia.

I have lost my Aunt Marlene, Donna, the wife of a late cousin, a friend Jeanne in Phoenix and now DearPru. I have truly come to hate 2016.

Part of me thinks the only reason Trashhole likes him is because his nick name is "mad dog".

That and the general has a large personality but can back that up with actual deeds.

Okay so question - who's gonna be in DC for the 'inauguration' weekend?

I'm seriously considering it, now that I learned it's not just a women's march. The bosses wife is already making plans to go too.

It probably has something to do with some of the quotes he's had about shooting people or having a plan to kill anyone.

Thi is it.

Christmas Day was overly optimistic. Mum is bleeding from somewhere undetermined and remains anemic. She has refused all further treatment. The recommendation is hospice to 'keep her comfortable'.

TriSec, I will say your Mom's name for the Mi Sheberiach, prayer for healing, tonight.

Thanks everyone for your condolences. I am truly sad about this year.

As we need some good news, I get to teach a sample lesson an alternative school on Tuesday morning.

Oh not sure I shared this yet, but I have some good news!

Jess had been keeping the status of her cancer treatment close to the vest, but about a month ago they did a scan and the tumor had shrunk to the point where they could do a lumpectomy and save her breast. A week later she had the operation. When I saw her for the holiday she was still healing, but was no longer doing chemo or the conditioning meds that blocked her allergy to the chemo. There's some follow-up radiation shots to do of course, but right now it looks like she's in remission.

Pretty sure it's just trying to run out the clock at this point. There's a very limited window of time before the electoral college meets.

Of course he wants to stop the count since like everything else in his life, it was rigged in his favor. Too bad, that woman who was raped by him was scared into silence.
