Hey Mondo - the person that LOL my Capra status is also one of those tRump supporting neocons who puts "church" ahead of everything.

Gooood morning

So noticed the ol' Honda was a little louder than normal yesterday morning but at first thought it was just the muffler losing its muffle. On the way home all of a sudden it got really loud, muffler separated from the rest of the system. The semi-good news is that it's just the longest part of the system - a pipe from the cat to the muffler. So of course it's $600 and I have to wait until tomorrow.

So I'm home today.

I sorta half-jokingly said to the Mrs this morning to not be surprised if she sees another car pick her up when she returns from MS. In reality I'm going to need to replace it come September (inspection time). The ol' beast has had a good run.

Oh....FUCK THAT FUCKING TURTLE AND EVERY FUCKING THING ABOUT THAT FUCKING HELLHOLE KENTFUCKY!!!!! RAND FUCKING PAUL TOO

Morning, comrades.

I regret that TriSec will have to die and decrease the surplus population.

It was a good run.

ok - confession - I totally voted for Northam in the primaries cause in his commercials he pretty much called tRump a manic and it caught me off guard and made me laugh. The other guy was cool too but his Bernie connection kind of pissed me off.

Mornin' all.. More SCOTUS decisions today!

Perry v. Merit System Protection Board - Wrongful termination based on age/race after "voluntary" termination from the Census Bureau, & proper judicial venue for such cases. 7-2 with Gorsuch & Thomas dissenting.

Murr v. Wisconsin - Kinda weird inheritance case... two siblings are bequeathed two adjacent parcels of property, but because it was bequeathed as a single parcel they are unable to sell one to lower tax burden & fund improvements for the other. Decision of the state probate court to do this was upheld 5-3, dissent from Roberts/Thomas/Alito.

Lee vs. U.S. - Long-time illegal immigrant is caught selling MDMA, his lawyer tells him to plead guilty to avoid deportation which is not only bad advice but also totally incorrect. He was deported and sued claiming he was the victim of that bad advice. This is a weird one...

Last day of the term for decisions is Monday. There's six cases still pending.

Good morning, bloggers!!

I had one interview yesterday. I thought that it went well. I have another interview at a different school today.

I look forward to seeing the CBO score on the Senate bill. My hope is that it collapses and the ACA manages to stay intact -- despite GOP sabotage. In the meantime, I am hoping that we see a lot of recruitment of good candidates for 2018. I chose to have hope that the Trump administration will be only a short, embarrassing episode for our nation.

I would like to see the Trump administration and the current GOP leadership disgraced, discredited over this, and see several people leave office. So far, the highest ranking Republican who does not seem to have knowledge of what was going on seems to be Senator Orrin Hatch.

HAve read this twice, and I now cannot get my head around the fact that it was

PUTIN --

Not Russia, but PUTIN who was finally accused of interfering and damaging our election process.

A lot of people are out here talking about Aboma -- and I get that,

IT WAS PUTIN HIMSELF.

Hillary Rodham Clinton should be the President of the United States of America.

That is a stone cold truth.

Putin, with his KGB background, would logically want to be in charge of a major operation.

I am noticing a lot of silence from the GOP. I guess power trumps loyalty to the nation.

Increasingly, it looks like many of the GOP leaders and members are now either directly in bed with Russia or just feel it's more important to cover Trump's ass while they obsess over every little thing the Clintons did. Now, the Senate wants to investigate Loretta Lynch.

Comment by Scoopster on 06/23/2017 19:54:03

Pun intended. The name of this president makes me wonder if we somehow fell into someone's bad comedy script.
