Apparently, this is now a thing, the Giant Teddy Bear Prank. Not going to lie I have laughed pretty hard at a few of these videos.

Enjoy a good laugh, lord knows we all need it.

That's not insignificant. Being a "green-vester" myself....Camelbak is the industry leader in water bladders; there is actually no competition. Bell and Giro are industry leaders as well for bike helmets and other safety equipment. (Ironic, considering their parent companies.) Here in liberal Greater Boston, I expect no backlash. Wonder how this will play out at some other locations?

(And remember - REI is not a store, it's a co-op, and was founded in Seattle by some crunchy granola types back in '38. This would be right in line with corporate philosophy.)

BTW, LL Bean is also joining the Dick's movement. They only sell guns at the mothership in Freeport, ME. But you've got to be 21+ now.

Heard they are talking feet of snow in upstate NY too. I am so thankful that's not hear. Spring is in about 18 days and I have washed my hands of winter early.

It's pretty nasty out there today, and cold. Im really worried that this is all gonna freeze up at some point today & make the commute home a total nightmare.

No problems with the power at the office..... YET.

There goes the stock market again. It's actually been dropping for a couple days but today it was down 300+ from the bell.

I guess investors are getting spooked by the needless trade war posturing.

Whoa. MBTA is operating a normal schedule (so far). But there is a line (to Salem) that runs through the marsh along the coast. On a 'normal' day, the water is right up to the trackbed at high tide. We'll see.

High Tide is in 35 minutes - I'm listening to the weather now. They just reported an offshore buoy (location unknown) that is reading 40-50 foot seas.

I heard that for you guys, the storm will last 3 tide cycles.

VRE goes over the Potomac and I wouldn't want to be on a double-decker crossing the bridge.

Comment by TriSec on 03/02/2018 15:27:29
According to what I just heard, the tide at midnight tonight is expected to be the highest.

Some locations would see 16-20 feet, mostly on the South Shore. Remember that the lowest high ground in Boston is a mere 20 feet above sea level, and that includes most of the waterfront, the Seaport district, and ALL of Logan airport.

I told you we were overdue for another shooting.

Good, then. Is it now time to talk about Florida, or does that still have to wait?

Thoughts and Prayers! TM

The shooting in Michigan makes me wonder when we will stop having shootings in our inner cities and other places as common events.

One weather reporter was saying that a storm was forming within the storm and that is creating that frozen stuff.

Still rockin' and rollin' here in New England.

Boston reporting gusts to 60 mph (higher on Cape Ann and Nantucket), and the high tide did come up and over Long Wharf - Trolley stop #1 on the pier is in about shin-deep water, based on the live TV shot from the site.

Power lines down in neighboring Watertown -blocking a major artery on Arsenal Street.
