Cory Booker spoke the most words on night 1 of the first Democratic debates.
— FiveThirtyEight (@FiveThirtyEight) June 27, 2019
Beto O’Rourke was second.
Elizabeth Warren was third.
Chuck Todd, one of the moderators, spoke just 4 words less than Warren and more words than 7 of the candidates on stage. https://t.co/b3Vdk51JWc pic.twitter.com/0qn5jvPMbB

Also I think we both agreed Tulsi's hair was on point. #NotyouTulsi
Ryan kept pissing me off by dismissing people who live on the coasts.
DeBlasio - very yelly
Delaney - meh
Inslee - think he'd make a good member of that Cabinet
Beto - kind of disappointed with last night but heard him on Morning Joe and he was great. Just don't think debates are his forum.
It's clear who MSNBC wants to be president: Elizabeth Warren. They're giving her more time than all the other candidates combined. They aren't giving any time to Tulsi at all. -V (Tulsi's sister)

So we’re reduced to counting the words each candidate said?
Wonder if any of tonight’s candidates will consider it a challenge to beat Booker’s number.
I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I .... That’s 11 words :)

I only brought that up because I think that Chuck Todd needs to talk less.

OH YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
The decision is basically the SCOTUS saying that federal courts should stay out of the whole question of partisan gerrymandering.

So yeah, this will keep the shitty maps in Ohio, North Carolina and Maryland, unless the state courts do something about it. Pennsylvania's new maps will probably remain in place since they were argued in the state courts.

Okay.. it seems like the discretion to add a citizenship question to the Census is allowed under the law and the Constitution, and the Census Act requires that such decisions be made reasonably. Wilbur Ross didn't do anything reasonably here, or even using demonstrable evidence to back up their justification for adding the question, so the question is OFF THE CENSUS.

So, if they had done it the right way and took to normal process to get it on there it would have been a-ok?
Rep. David Trone, whose district sparked court fight, reacts to ruling: “We need a national standard to end partisan gerrymandering. Now that the Court has decided that it won’t take a role in addressing this issue, the Senate must pass leg’n to fix this problem once and for all.

So SCOTUS declared that gerrymandering was constitutional. I maintain that if you're going to gerrymander you still have to use a condom, SCOTUS or no SCOTUS.
