Coincidence or Cointellegence?
Author: Raine    Date: 07/27/2020 13:09:47

Most of us knew that it would get worse as the occupant of the White House became more desperate.

I'll admit that what we are seeing here in the states is far more ominous than I could have imagined. I am watching the scenes out of Portland and It makes me sick to my stomach what this fascist administration has foisted upon us. Back on June 20th, the occupant stated that he would send "more federal law enforcement" to New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, and other cities to deal with unrest: "In Portland they’ve done a fantastic job." (boldface mine)

I mention this because Baltimore has generally not been in the news regarding the BLM protests, and while some areas of the city suffer deep poverty and crime, there really hasn't been a deep shift in the situation that has made it worse. The protests were peaceful. Example:

and

Over the weekend, this happened.
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A group of several dozen people protested near a Baltimore Fraternal Order of Police building Saturday night.

The group chanted “Defund 12” and held signs reading “Black Lives Matter” as they stood shoulder-to-shoulder across Buena Vista Avenue in north Baltimore near the headquarters of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3.

Why now? I heard the story on the radio yesterday and my immediate thought was well isn't it a coincidence that just days before State AG Marylin Mosby wrote and op-ed in Wapo.

Be wary, be alert, it really does look like COINTELPRO is in full swing. I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories, but as Malcolm Nance always says, coincidences like this takes a lot of planning. The occupant is a caged rabid animal and no one is stopping him.

Oh, and his wall got blown over last night.

Mornin'...

I think I've reached a kind of holding pattern in my healing. The level of aching & stiffness has been fairly constant for a couple days now, which is actually helping me get into a routine of dealing with it and getting other things in my life back into place. This morning I'm doing some basic daily exercises, which I haven't done since before the surgery. Not the hand weights tho, that's too much!

Scoopster, I hope that your recovery continues and you see more improvement soon.

I am working on a few things here. Still no word on exactly what my school is doing. (I am still applying elsewhere.)

It's a cult.

The questionable tactics used by Trump University did not diminish some former students’ opinions of him, any more than political setbacks have upset his base. Some interviewed for this report said Trump’s political record was good enough to outweigh their bad experience at Trump University.

“Trump 2020!” said Michael Sheehan of New York state.

In 2009, Sheehan paid $1,495 to attend a three-day Trump University seminar at a Marriott in Albany, N.Y. — then discovered it was one long sales pitch for more-expensive programs. “Trump was a big sham,” Sheehan wrote in 2012, summing up his experience in a court affidavit.

Now, Sheehan said, he doesn’t blame Trump for Trump University. The instructors were probably at fault, he said: “I don’t think he sat there and said, ‘Hey, I want you to rip everybody off.’ ”

This year, he doesn’t blame Trump for the worsening of the coronavirus crisis. Trump’s enemies are probably at fault, he said. “You don’t think it’s very convenient,” he said, that the pandemic arrived in an election year?

Hitting 90 degrees here earlier and earlier in the day. But global warming is a myth.

Whether it is Portland, Baltimore, or some other yet-to-be-determined city, one day one of these will blow up and people will die. It shall become the new Boston Massacre.

Trump ignores history, so he is doomed to repeat it - it's interesting what side he chose to repeat.

Wish me luck on my cataract surgery tomorrow for the right eye. The left eye will be done 3 weeks later.

14 Miami Marlins players have tested positive which has forced postponements of today's Marlins home opener and Yankees-Phillies game. How long is the MLB season going to last?

Making some hardtack this afternoon.

Got Wednesday off, and with Javi away, I can make actual clam chowder with actual clams.

Normally, I use Goya crackers, since they are very similar to the old Crown Pilot biscuit in texture and heft...but no more.

If I may recommend.. Stoned Wheat Thins make for a nice chowder cracker, even tho they're not the traditional hexagonal shape.
