My school decided to close today due to the flooding. (LAUSD is open, but attendance is down.)
We may have 4-7 inches of rain. The garage was flooding last night, so I moved my car to a side street. (The water in the garage was up to my lower calf.) When I got back, I found out that the swimming pool was being drained. A neighbor told me that the water got up to about the height of the stairs (6 inches) but has been going down. I will move the car back tonight.
As a Chicago native, I learned early on to take nature seriously. I do not think the same is as true for Los Angeles.
