Priming the Pump, part 3
Author: BobR    Date: 06/17/2026 13:41:26

It's another Wednesday, so it's another primary results day. Let's get right into it...

Washington DC:
With Muriel Bowser not seeking re-election, there's been a lot of interest in who will replace her. The person winning the primary will essentially be the next mayor, since there's no viable republican opposition. As of this writing, Janeese Lewis George has a 15 point lead, but at 64% of results in, there are still plenty to be counted.

Oklahoma:
Kevin Horn appears to be the winner in the republican senate primary. For governor, Gentner Drummond has a tiny lead over pResident-endorsed Mike Mazzel.

There were also a couple runoff races:

Georgia:
In the Senate race (to run against John Ossoff in the general), Mike Collins won by about a 10 point margin. Collins was endorsed by Pedo McYamTits. For Governor, republican Rick Jackson - who was NOT endorsed by Diaper Don - appears to have come out on top.

Alabama:
It looks like Barry Moore beat Jared Hudson in a runoff to be the republican Senate candidate.

Next week: NY, MD & UT

Good morning, bloggers!!!

It looks like the Presidential Seal of Approval on a candidate is no longer a guarantee in the GOP primaries. It seems that we are entering an era of change, but what sort of change remains to be seen.

We have another round of severe storms with tornado warnings today I hope that it is not as bad as last time, when a town just to the east of me ended up with 200 damaged buildings.

An odd mark was visible on Trump's left hand today at the G7. (REUTERS/Christian Hartmann)

Yikes. Stay safe, Will!

Uh oh. He's going to visit Versailles.

We are at the point where Faux is literally telling us we aren't seeing the right color.

On Jesse Watters' sidekick Johnny stood in front of the GREEN reflecting pool and declared that it was blue. I've also included some highlights from the segment - a Donald Trump Jr. cameo, awkward MAGA dancing, some exciting t-shits and people who don't like Trump.

Stent scar. Kidney trouble?

No votes in MA, but there was a debate. Ed Markey didn't bother to show up.

This may give Trump even more ideas on how to deface the White House.

I will. I am actually going to take a nap while it is relatively calm as I may well be up late with the storm. I was in the bathroom last storm as tornado sirens went off. It turns out later that we had an EF 0 tornado to the town south of me and it went through parts of my town. Somehow, no one was killed in the last round of storms.
