Well THAT escalated quickly. A whistleblower filed a report concerning tRumpy and national security. The administration was required by law to forward it to Congress, and they didn't. These things leak, of course, and tRumpy essentially confessed to what was done and said he did nothing wrong. Less than a week later, and Nancy Pelosi just announced an impeachment investigation. On the same day, the Senate voted UNANIMOUSLY (yes, that includes Moscow Mitch) to demand that the White House turn over the whistleblower report.

For those of us paying attention, we all say in unison "it's about time". There have been plenty of reasons for him to get taken to task. Here are a few:

• Obstructing Justice
• Profiting from the Presidency (aka: violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution)
• Collusion (note - that is not a legal term. Conspiracy, however, is)
• Abuse of Power
• Violating Refugees and Immigrants Right of Due Process
• Violating Campaign Finance Laws

What did he do this time? It was both abuse of power and violating campaign regulations. First he ordered a hold on aid to Ukraine. A few days later, he called the president of Ukraine and asked him EIGHT TIMES to investigate Joe Biden's son. Mike Pence got in on the action too, which is going to hurt him and tRump. SoS Mike Pompeo jumped into the sinking boat. This makes everything worse for all of them, and may end up in a complete cleaning of the White House (literally and figuratively).

tRumpy hasn't helped himself with his explanations either, sounding like punk in the interrogation room constantly changing his story as to what this was all about:

1.Withholding $400 million in U.S. aid;
2. Not withholding aid, actually;
3. Ukraine needing to investigate Trump’s leading Democratic opponent;
4. Ukraine needing to crack down on corruption;
5. Europe having to pay more;
6. He can’t say, but it was perfect;

Oh yeah - and he sent his personal lawyer (Ghouliani) to talk to a foreign head of state to also pressure Ukraine to dig up dirt for his re-election campaign. The mind boggles...

The funniest part of this is they are destroying their political careers (and possibly risking jail time) for something that never happened.

This probably won't help Biden, but it will certainly hurt the Republicans who have hitched themselves to the tRump Wagon. Even FOX "News" is criticizing him on this. His circle of supporters in Congress and the media (i.e.: FOX "News"). Like rats from a sinking ship, they are all trying to regain their tattered reputations and credibility (to limited success, I am both guessing and hoping).

tRumpy is a wounded cornered animal, though, and I suspect things are going to get a little crazy(er?) over the next couple months.

For now, I'd like to ship a box of peaches to Nancy Pelosi.
