Grief Without Acceptance
Author: BobR    Date: 12/02/2020 13:57:04

Is tRump still in the first stage of grief (denial)? Has he moved onto the second or third (anger, bargaining)? Perhaps he's experiencing all three of them at the same time. He is certainly a long way from acceptance. All but his most ardent (or craven) allies have moved on, but tRump is still flailing the courts, hoping to sue his way back to another four years.

The tRump campaign is challenging Wisconsin's results in the WI Supreme Court (Wisconsin has certified the results for a Biden win). They lost their challenge in the PA Supreme Court, so his Republican allies are petitioning the SCOTUS to block Biden's win in PA:
They maintain that Pennsylvania’s expansive vote-by-mail law is unconstitutional because it required a constitutional amendment to authorize its provisions.

Biden beat President Donald Trump by more than 80,000 votes in Pennsylvania, a state Trump had won in 2016.

Pennsylvania's Supreme Court on Saturday night threw out the lawsuit, including an order by a lower court judge blocking the certification of any uncertified races.

Justices cited the law's 180-day time limit on filing legal challenges to its provisions, as well as the staggering demand that an entire election be overturned retroactively.

Even tRump's lap dog AJ Barr has admitted that there is no evidence of widespread fraud in the election, a position that has made the right-wing media (AKA - FOX "News") irate.

Naturally, all of tRump's mentally-challenged cultists are ready to go to war for him. Wherever tRump points his tiny orange finger, they respond the best way they know how - with threats. It doesn't matter how loyal a Republican has been; if tRump singles them out, they are "the enemy". GA SoS Brad Raffensperger found this out the hard way:

...Trump labeled Raffensperger an “enemy of the people” in remarks on Thanksgiving Day simply because he has not bowed to Trump’s demands that the Georgia election results be thrown out so that he can be declared the winner in the state

... in Georgia, an official in the office of Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger delivered a passionate rebuke of Trump and those in the GOP who have stood by and said nothing as the president has misled millions of Americans about the election, sparking death threats against Raffensperger and his family, as well as against rank-and-file election workers.

Raffensperger was referring to the GOP senators who have stood by quietly, too afraid to cross Der Fuhrer by condemning his calls for violence. They are as culpable as tRump is for this dangerous atmosphere.

The electors meet to cast their votes in a couple weeks. tRump says he will accept their vote. We shall see. He still has a few stages to go through.
