Mala has no power at her office, so I am filling in. As you all probably know by now, tRump ordered a retaliatory strike in Iraq that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Force.

Sure - his presence in Iraq was problematic.

However, so is this unilateral military action that was not only done without Congressional approval, but was done without even notifying them.

Eric tRump knew in advance.

This is Wag the Dog and more a reaction to his impeachment than the killing of a civilian U.S. contractor.

I've vacillated between WWIII being in the Middle East and being cyber - tRump may have just made that choice.

Some of you are probably nursing a hangover. I think we all are, with regard to this past year. Some of it was the good stuff (like tRump getting impeached), and some of it was the bad stuff (like... well... pretty much everything else).

On a personal level, it was a pretty good year, but for the country and the world - not so much. I remember when I was a kid, 2020 seemed so far off into the future. We were promised fly cars. Instead we have a mess that doesn't seem to improve - it seems we're digressing (or DEVOlving).

Anyway, here's hoping for a good 2020.
