As noted in Raine's blog yesterday, Tuesday was a Very Big Day in the world of American politics. The convictions and guilty pleas of two close tRump associates on the same day created a seismic shift in the ground beneath his feet. The news exploded across the media, and it's been a topic of non-stop discussion by the pundits. It certainly looks like this would be the tipping point where Congress needs to cut loose this anchor threatening to drag them down, along with the common decency of rule of law for the rest of us.

So what exactly are we hearing from Republicans in Congress?

Good Morning.

Making America Great has many iterations. As you're probably aware, most of the suppliers to the United States military are required to manufacture here in those same United States. It makes sense; made in the USA for the USA. There's going to be corruption, as there always is....but maybe you could be a little less obvious?

It seems like so long ago, but was in fact maybe less than a week, that representatives and supporters of pResident tRump suggested that being interviewed under oath by Mueller would be a "perjury trap". The absurdity of that notion is that there is no such thing. The only way it would be a "trap" is if tRump planned on lying. If he tells the truth - there is no "trap".

Earlier this week, former reality start Omarosa played a tape of herself being fired by Kelly. She indicated she has other tapes, and has since then played one of her talking with tRump after the firing. This REALLY seems to have upset the White House. When asked if there was a tape of tRump using the "n-word", press secretary Sanders indicated she couldn't say "no" for certain. A friend on the Book of Faces mused "Why would the president need to be told “no tapes exist” of him using racial slurs if he never used racial slurs?" (thanks David).
