Good Morning.

Let's dive right in, shall we? We'll start this morning in Washington, where the Secretary of Defence is making flowery claims that the recent pinprick strike on a previously-alerted airfield actually destroyed 20% of Syria's aircraft. Whether these were armed and ready to strike, or were merely abandoned relics in the desert was not made clear.

See what I did there? I find myself in the fabulous N. C. State on this morn.

We had not the best day on the road yesterday. so we start from Lumberton with 800 miles to run home.

I'll be doing most of the driving today, so I doubt I'll have many updates until we get in.

By now, everyone has heard, seen, and read about the chemical weapons attacks that occurred on Syrian rebels in the area of Idlib province. The use of gas like this has been a war crime for decades, and Assad definitely needs to be dragged before the Hague and sentenced. There is little chance of that happening, however, since Russia has his back. Of course - with all of the military support Russia provides to Syria, they may be complicit.

Autopsies performed in Turkey have confirmed that chemical weapons were used. Syria of course has denied they used gas, trying to imply "a government shell hit a building where rebels were producing chemical weapons". That is an absurd accusation, believed by no one. It's not the first time that Assad used chemical weapons against his own people.

You're probably not familiar with the character named "Sly Moore". She remained at the emperor's side, yet always in the background. But because she was the closest member of his inner circle, and controlled all access to the Emperor, she became the most powerful member of that particular governing elite. I want you to keep that in mind as we return to the real world.
