Twenty-one years ago, Mrs. TriSec and I were home with a new baby for just 72 hours. 'twas a rather epic odyssey at the time, and it's been recounted in these pages before.

We did all the things - school, Scouts, church, sports. Somehow, these things all worked out.

Today marks the latest chapter in Javier's journey.

How can one uphold the law if they are above the law? Last month ProPublica reported that for over 20 years, Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence accepted lavish gifts from billionaire Harlen Crow. Those gifts included trips on a private yacht and Jet and yearly vacations at Camp Topridge in Saranac NY.

I've had a connection to an actual veteran family for the last couple of years. One of our conductors is married to an active-duty Coast Guardsman.
