I will be back shortly, but until then, I leave you with a Raccoon in a Peanut butter jar.

For eight hours on Sunday, the scavenger sat with its head inside a peanut butter jar while perched atop a Long Island utility pole.

The unusual sight brought out dozens of curious residents on a Ronkonkoma (rahn-KAHNK'-uh-muh) street. Children quickly nicknamed him Skippy.
Skippy survived, and is free. No word on the Peanut butter jar.

Jim also seemed to forget that it was Bush that lifted the Libyan Sanctions against Libya.

NATO is taking over the NFL zone today, if they have not already.

I was and still am SO pissed that we did nothing about RWANDA.

and Darfur.

I agree with Momma. You cannot compare Libya 2007 to now.

Jim hates when Reagan is used to prove a liberal point, and yet he is doing the same thing with something Wesley said 4 years ago.

JIm is correct, tho, it is more more complicated. So going back to one thing Clark back then seems a bit disengenuous.

There's a poll on Politico's home page that doesn't really need freeping, but it does need to be a LOT more lopsided than it is now.

As far as the claim of civilian casualties (and I have no doubt there are deaths) But this is from a few days ago. A source I trust.

Despite Libyan claims, little evidence of civilian casualties
Libyan state media showed images of those it claimed were killed and wounded in ongoing Western airstrikes, but civilian casualties have been difficult to independently verify.

Over the weekend, it was reported by a few sources that Qaddaffi was actually killing civilians anad dragging them to rebel sites, to make it appear the Rebels and the west were killing people.

So, to that end, I ask those good people out there, who are you going to believe? Qaddaffi, or the Christian Science monitor?

As of february 23, Italy (as reported in the NYT) estimated that over 1000 people had been killed in Libya. The also have little places to seek refuge.

As of MArch 10, The ivory Coast saw about 350 people killed with hundreds of thousands seeking refuge in Liberia.

Good day everyone. It seems like Kittie wants attention from me at night and I end up going to bed really late. At least I was able to get home by midnight.

So who is with me on this being the most miserable March ever? Natural disaster, nuclear error, war, carnage, late season snow, you name it. To make matters worse, a very dear friend of mine died on the 16th. I've not been handling that well. Elaine was one of my oldest and dearest friends. She was one of my mentors in the SCA, a beacon of hope and inspiration for those fighting cancer or those helping others fight cancer. Elaine was a powerful voice healthcare reform in Maryland. She was one of the good ones. I miss her very much. It kills me that I wasn't able to make it to the memorial yesterday.

Her obit
