The best laid plans of mice and men go awry, as some would say. I have a half written blog at home on the laptop and it seems I've hit a writers block - very frustrating. *sigh*

So I defer to the cute - and while I have it on the good authority from Australians that grown koala's are assholes - baby koala's are adorable.

Are you saying this is making your surly? Or that when CSRs are talking to you and repeating what you are saying in a question? Please clarify.

Just saw this myself. I think the rest of those GOP morons will be lost without him. He was an awful Speaker, but he was still a better Speaker than they deserved because he put his ass on the line to keep them in check, and they still told him to go screw.

You're right, he was a better Speaker then the current GOP deserved and they didn't respect what he did for them.

I know you are not getting all whipped up with glee that The Boner is resigning, Raine. Which is good, because the next guy won't have as much leverage over the Tea Party gits. Things are going to get even worse.

Yes they are, but this move gives the Dems some major room to play. I'm already hearing chatter that, in his remaining time, Boehner may ignore the Hastert rule and let a Dem-favored full budget measure come to a floor vote and get it passed with the few loyal votes that he would command..

The one thing I have to wonder is who will the DEms vote for — that position will need the dens.

There is a reason he is resigning at the end of next month. Get an actual budget done, maybe get rid of the sequester. Doing this would be a giant middle finger to the teatwats.
