In another declaration, Keith Koegler said Ford revealed the alleged assault to him in 2016, when the two parents were watching their children play in a public place and discussing the “light†sentencing of Stanford University student Brock Turner.
“Christine expressed anger at Mr. Turner’s lenient sentence, stating that she was particularly bothered by it because she was assaulted in high school by a man who was now a federal judge in Washington, D.C.,†Koegler said.
“Christine did not mention the assault to me again until June 29, 2018, two days after Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his resignation from the Supreme Court of the United States,†he said.
On that day, Koegler said Ford revealed to him in an email that the person who had assaulted her in high school was President Donald Trump’s “favorite for SCOTUS.â€
In his response email, Koegler wrote, “I remember you telling me about him, but I don’t remember his name. Do you mind telling me so I can read about him?â€
Ford’s emailed response: “Brett Kavanaugh.â€

As bad as Kavanaugh is, I sometimes think Mitch McConnell is worse (for different reasons, obviously).

He's trash, pure trash.
Below is my correspondence to Mr. Davis of moments ago, together with a sworn declaration from my client. We demand an immediate FBI investigation into the allegations. Under no circumstances should Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed absent a full and complete investigation. pic.twitter.com/QHbHBbbfbE

Holy Crap!
I have no idea if Julie Swetnick is telling the truth. I can say this: submitting a sworn affidavit carries with it criminal liability if she perjured herself.

Also, as a clearance holder, giving perjured statements would be a career-ender. Take that for what it's worth.

Mornin' all...
There is absolutely no reason for Kavanaugh's confirmation process to continue without this being fully & thoroughly investigated. The man is obviously ill-intentioned and regardless of his credentials doesn't deserve such a position of responsibility.
I was sexually assaulted in the mid-80’s at the home of one of Kavanaugh’s schoolmates. The host of that party added his name to this letter to the Judiciary Committee attesting to Kavanaugh’s character. https://t.co/l2RNGr8KOj 3/#metoo@LindseyGrahamSC @SenatorDurbin

This has to end. The Senate Judiciary Committee is currently reviewing the documents.
I stand by my claim that they knew this all along.

I agree, think they did too. Partly why the rush to get him confirmed,
The Utah lawmaker Orrin Hatch, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, filed a 44-page amicus brief earlier this month in Gamble v. United States, a case that will consider whether the dual-sovereignty doctrine should be put to rest. The 150-year-old exception to the Fifth Amendment’s double-jeopardy clause allows state and federal courts to prosecute the same person for the same criminal offense. According to the brief he filed on September 11, Hatch believes the doctrine should be overturned. “The extensive federalization of criminal law has rendered ineffective the federalist underpinnings of the dual sovereignty doctrine,†his brief reads. “And its persistence impairs full realization of the Double Jeopardy Clause’s liberty protections.â€
Would you like the same treatment, sir? It can be arranged.
