As we begin another week, Please take a look at Tri's housekeeping post. Thank you, it really was long overdue.

While I want to come with words of encouragement, I search for some, and I find myself staring into an empty well. I didn't watch that mess of a 'Town Hall' last night. But the highlights are really disgusting. Can we stop pretending that he is not so far gone that someone is going to have to re-make Weekend at Bernie's as a horror film?

Since the very beginning of this occupation, I'd said that we were lucky we had not had a terrorist attack in our soil. This is worse. This is so much worse than anything in our lifetimes. He is farther gone than Reagan was. It's almost inconceivable to see how badly this national -- and global -- crisis has been handled in this country.

We are no longer united states and that lies right at the feet of the garbage person who has not one sense of caring for anyone but himself and those that leech off of him. They are the worst of mankind.

I can't say anything more as I am trying to protect my sanity every damn day. No one deserves this nightmare -- even those that think they like it.

Morning, comrades.

On Sunday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that his state and Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware are launching a regional purchasing group to more efficiently buy goods including protective equipment ventilators and tests for the new coronavirus.

Don't know about you, but I'll be penning a letter to Regional President Cuomo soon enough, urging him to keep the coalition together as the crisis inevitably starts to fade. We've proven that we don't NEED the federal government to do things like this, and we should foster more intra-state cooperation and coordination like this.

Meanwhile, in other news - Massachusetts has more Coronavirus deaths than all of Canada. There may yet be no end in sight.

And I don't know about you, but I've been at a long, slow, increasingly violent simmer all weekend about this.

I try not to denigrate any person, least of all a woman, but I regret that the only descriptors I can think of right now are "Stupid" and "Nazi" and "Whore".

The only reason she's wearing a US flag mask is to spit on it.

I am calling us here the DMV States.

Good morning, bloggers!!

I fear that we are in for a very rough journey.

Last night, I was working on school work and did not watch Trump's "meeting." If Trump was in any other position but the presidency, people closest to him would argue for an intervention.

We feel morel live the Divided States of America than the United States of America. We have no national response worthy of the name. Protesters in Illinois and Michigan are holding up signs directed to their governors saying "Arbeit mact frei" -- "Work will make you free." These words infamously were hung on the gates of Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps. (There were swastikas and Confederate flags at these protests,)) Some people, including some Republican politicians, are arguing that the old and weak should be allowed to die. This echoes the Nazi era policy of killing those deemed unfit.

I fear what is happening to our nation. I am glad for the regional consortiums in the Northeast, the MIdwest, and the West. These consortiums seem to have a more effective response than our federal government. I hope that we can restore our nation to a united effective country than can help lead the world to a better future than an object of pity, fear, and scorn.

TriSec, I live just a few miles from the Illinois state line and grew up in the Land of Lincoln. This photo enrages me beyond words.

I imagine it greatly enrages Governor JB Pritzker, who is Jewish. The people who used to hide under rocks have crawled out into the light of day.

Good morning. Since I don't have cable in rehab I didn't have the option of flipping off the "town hall". I was listening to Mic Check radio with the Simpsons on in the background. They moved me into another unit so they could do thorough cleaning of the rooms. Trying to be more independent since there are a few things I can do as long as I stay off my amputated foot.

I'm glad they are doing that.

As I just posted on Facebook, like everything else around here, we're doing it ourselves.

We didn't get the T-birds or Angels, so the Mass 104th will do the flyby for our own citizens.

We couldn't see them where we are. I am mixed about this, to be honest. A friend said that the pilots needed the air time.

I also know that these flyovers were already budgeted.
