Am I the only one trying to decompress from 2015 and on? The hell of it all is that I don't feel like I can decompress. The GOP has become the QOP and the levels of insanity seem to escalate day by day.

This is the party that censured Cindy McCain for -- wait for it -- defending her deceased husband. This is the party that is primarying its own leadership, Liz Cheney, for following election protocol. They are attacking Mitt Romney for actually saying he would like to have a Senate trial so he can assess the evidence of inciting and insurrection (with ol' Mittens, the bar is the floor, but I digress).

I watched and waited. And waited. And, well, waited. Sometime during the inaugural events and just before Biden’s swearing in, Q was to descend from the sky on the back of a bald Eagle. He would knock Biden to the ground with his mighty talons while emitting a high piercing screech in the form of a fierce battle cry. By the end of day, the cannibal pedophiles like Hillary Clinton, Obama, Lady Gaga, Flo from Progressive and many others would be arrested and beheaded in the streets.

Four years ago, our country (and the rest of world) was tilted on its axis. The keys to the most powerful office in the world were handed over to an immature, incompetent, narcissistic psycho who proceeded to destroy every norm we have held for decades. The term "bully pulpit" has rarely been so literal. It quickly became clear that the office didn't change him, and - in fact - he changed the office (at least temporarily) to match his petulant vengeful personality disorders.
