We are in a weird place in our country. On the one hand, it's primary season so there's a level of excitement in the air as people get a chance to have their say in the future of our country. On the other hand, the COVID-19 virus is slowly making inroads nearly everywhere in the U.S. Everyone is hunkering down, trying to avoid contact with other people, while at the same time venturing out only to get food and vote. We are now
over 1000 confirmed cases in the U.S. Watching the returns last night on TV, it's amazing to see turnout is up over 2016. Back then, there was a certain malaise, as neither primary candidate was very inspirational after 8 years of President Obama, and none of the Republican contenders seemed very threatening. This year, after 3 years of tRump incompetence and mendacity, the need to push him out of office in November is very real. It's enough to risk catching a potentially deadly virus.
