An Observation

As many may know, the presumptive GOP Nominee, Donald tRump is vetting people to be his vice-presidential nominee. Yesterday two people on the short list, Senators Bob Corker and Jodi Ernst, bowed out of being considered for the position.

One of the people still in contention for the spot is a former candidate and, interestingly, was vetted by former GOP candidate Mitt Romney. Romney decided not to select the governor.

In a week of Independence Day fireworks, there occasionally is a dud. For the Clinton-haters, that was the completely unsurprising conclusion of the FBI investigation into EmailGate, the fabricated outrage over her use of a private email server while serving as Secretary of State. Never mind that previous Secretaries of State did exactly the same thing, with a collective outrage of none, this is Hillary Clinton, and because of who she is, she has to do everything the men do, but backwards and in high heels (or at least sensible flats).

Good Morning.

We'll dive right in this morning; starting in the cauldron that is still Baghdad. You may have missed it yesterday during our red, white, and blue orgy...better than 160 people were killed in a suicide bombing yesterday. I suppose we could note that it's a city full of Sunni Muslims, likely killed by other Muslims - but that sort of violence doesn't happen, does it? I didn't bother with western media on this story. I was able to find something from Rudaw, which is the little-known news agency of Kurdistan. It pitches the incident in a somewhat different light.
