TriSec is off doctoring today - my annual camp physical, and my now annual visit to the oncologist. (And not even, I'm just seeing the NP today, since I 'graduated' last year.)
I was just musing about a trivial detail about the upcoming Independence Day holiday.
Around here, there is much fanfare associated with the grand finale of our concert. Of course, the piece is Tchiakovsky's '1812 Overture'. I am further pondering the irony of it being written by a Russian, yet somehow becoming a patriotic tune. Seems more appropriate than ever, all of a sudden.

So, it turns out that one of the victims of yesterday's shooting was a friend of one of my friends from the DMV. She was something of a mentor to one of her kids.

Guys, feel free to post on my Facebook page. There is a conservative member of the Jewish community here who says she has never heard Trump call the press "enemies of the American people" but has heard Democratic leaders say such things.

So, I'm back from my annual doctoring.
TriSec has now officially graduated from oncology. I don't need to ever go see them again, if I choose not to.
However....Doc said something that gave me pause. She 'hopes' that I would still come back for an annual visit, since "We see so few Stage III patients go beyond five years".
Implied but not stated that such patients have had recurrences and did not survive.
I continue to be mystified by this entire affair. I still ask "Why Me?", but not in some kind of self-pitying manner. I posted a while ago - I presume greater powers are at work here. Allahu Ackbar, indeed.
