The Internet is full of Shit

So, it seems anyone can plug in a computer and write stuff. Just like I'm doing now!
But really, the dribble that comes off as news is astounding. Recently this little horror has been making the rounds:
The Fukushima plant is releasing steam thatwill may kill us all. What?
Well, we know it's not coming from the "Ministry of Information" because there is not one source link in this article. We are just to believe that we are all doomed.
That we are doomed is not a surprise to me. But could I at least have some accurate information on who or what is going to kill me? Please?
I'm not denying that there might be steam coming from the disaster, and that that's a bad thing. I'm just saying, can we get some real news about it instead of "Stock up on Bread and Milk" panic like it's another blizzard?
A quick visit to one of Alex Jones' sites will get you golden headlines like this one:
"Gay Group Calls for Re-Education of Phil Robertson"
I'll bet you're shocked to hear this news. Yes, the organization GLAAD did indeed call for Duck Dynasty actor Phil Robertson to be "re-educated" if you consider this statement to mean forcibly brainwashing someone, “We believe the next step is to use this as an opportunity for Phil to sit down with gay families in Louisiana and learn about their lives and the values they share". Yes, this sounds horrible. Sitting down with gays over tea is exactly what Pol Pot's regime did.
Basically, you can find anything on the internet to support whatever bullshit argument you want to believe.
Is Obama going to take our guns? Yep.
Did Elvis really die? Not according to this site.
Did gay people and/or feminism cause Katrina and/or the Tsunami and/or the Midwest floods and/or the California earthquake of 1906? Yes according to multiple sites.
Well the world is going to shit. Just search the internet and you'll see.

An ominous edict issued from the Office of the President of Russia today to all Ministries of the Russian Government ordering that all “past, present and future” information relating to Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster now be rated at the highest classification level “Of Special Importance” states that this condition is “immediately and urgently needed” due to a series of underground nuclear explosions occurring at this crippled atomic plant on 31 December as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense (MoD).
