We'll get right to it - starting in my own backyard. One of Boston's most iconic attractions has been undergoing renovations for the last two years. Sunday evening, on a favorable tide, the USS Constitution was refloated and left drydock to retake her place of honor in the Charles town navy yard.http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/07/24/uss-constitution-returns-boston-waters-repairs.html
Moving on to actual veterans, curiously enough eight veteran's groups are urging congress not to pass the latest so-called 'reform'. The groups are calling it unacceptable privatization, and are calling for emergency funding to preserve existing programs instead.http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/07/23/veterans-groups-urge-house-to-reject-va-budget-plan.html
Finally, almost a nostalgic story. Remember when the Soviets used to do this stuff?http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/07/24/2-chinese-fighter-jets-buzz-us-navy-spy-plane-in-east-china-sea.html
And I have a day off tomorrow, so I hope to finally work on getting the ol' computer fixed.
