It's still a long way until November elections, but rifts are already beginning to form in the Republican party. There is a small vocal core for whom nothing can really be conservative enough (or vile enough), and they have already hitched their wagon to TFG. Then there are the smarter pols who know that alienating the moderates is a sure-fire way to lose elections. (NOTE: The Democratic party has similar problems, but are more likely to overlook some differences)
At the core of this is TFG's big fuck-you last minute desperate grasp at power on Jan 06th of last year. Most Americans see it for what it was - a violent insurrection. Others see it as
"legitimate political discourse", and are willing to throw their own under the bus for helping to investigate it:
