Good Morning.

We'll start today with a Saturday Ask a Vet Special.

Of course, both of my stories this morning are about "You Know Who". We've been treated to a series of increasingly bizarre and unqualified persons being named to important cabinet posts. But underneath all that is something you may have missed - a number of those appointments have military backgrounds. Generally, that wouldn't preclude anyone from serving. However - several of those persons are only recently retired, one of which will require congressional action in order to serve his post. It all has the effect of seemingly placing the military in charge. I wonder how many of them have already sworn an oath of fealty to Mr. Trump instead of the Constitution?

The Volcano Rumbles

There's a seismic rumbling occurring in the political sphere of national and international politics. The shocking apparent win by Donald tRump in November was the beginning of it. There were warning signs prior to that, but everyone was so focused on emails and pussy-grabbing, that the more ominous stories got little attention.

Now that tRump has been building his Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the real horror of an impending tRump pResidency has caused people to look at this whole election exercise as more than a WWF match. Several of his picks have ties to Russia, giving weight to the allegations of Russian involvement in the election.

The unthinkable has happened.

I now have reason to believe the government of the United States has fallen.

It seems pretty obvious in hindsight that *something* must have happened to cause the election results to be vastly different from what was being reported and projected.

Nate Silver just couldn't have been that wrong.

Good Morning.

America has just 41 days left.

Among all the dangerous rhetoric is the growing sense that the Trump "presidential" team is only going to destroy things.

Think about it - have they told us anything they are going to do? His entire campaign, and indeed, his entire transition, has been a litany of things they plan on destroying, repealing, or otherwise starting over.

America was not built this way.
